Bright House Networks provides cable television entertainment, high speed internet access, and digital phone service to approximately 120,000 customers within the Indianapolis Metro area, as well as the communities of Avon, Pittsboro, Lizton, Carmel, Zionsville, Fortville, and Marion, Indiana.
Bright House Networks is managed by Advance/Newhouse, as announced on January 1, 2003. Advance/Newhouse is a privately held company headquartered in Syracuse, New York, serving more than 2.1 million customers in Indianapolis, Orlando, Tampa, Birmingham, Detroit and Bakersfield.
Bright House Networks' philosophy is to put customers in the driver's seat by furnishing uncomplicated entertainment options and clearing away obstacles that stand between them and the information and entertainment they are seeking.
Bright House Networks' is focused on service offerings that put customers more in control of their entertainment.
The division currently offers Digital Cable with over 250 cable channels, including professional sports pay-per-view services. We also offer multiple providers of high-speed online access delivering speeds up to 100 times faster than a traditional dial-up modem, including Road Runner, AOL, Big Net, and Earthlink. For customers that desire even more control over their entertainment choices, we offer our Digital Video Recorders (DVR), Video On
Demand (VOD) and Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD), as well as
High Definition Television
(HDTV)!
IIn February 2006, Bright House Networks launched it's new product,
Digital Phone. This service offers Enhanced 911 and many other features such as Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Waiting with Caller ID, Call Forwarding, Speed Dial and many more. Currently, two plans are available; Unlimited Nationwide and Unlimited Indiana.

Advance/Newhouse manages Bright House Networks, which serves over 2.2 million subscribers in cable television systems located in and around Tampa Bay, Central Florida, Indianapolis, Birmingham, Bakersfield and Detroit along with several smaller systems in Alabama and panhandle Florida. The company also exclusively provides Central Florida News 13 and Bay News 9, 24-hour local news stations in Central Florida and the Tampa Bay Area. Advance/Newhouse is a privately held company headquartered in Syracuse, New York. The Advance/Newhouse partners’ other interests include Condé Nast magazines, PARADE magazine, daily newspapers serving 26 cities, American City Business Journals, which publishes business journals in over 40 cities, Advance Internet and CondéNet, producers of online services, and a significant interest in Discovery Communications, Inc.
