Recording programs
With Navigator you can specify which programs you want to record now or in the future.

You must have the optional VCR Commander installed to have Navigator control your VCR automatically. For more information about the VCR Commander call customer service.

Recording the channel you're watching
To record the channel you're watching
- If necessary, and if your remote has been programmed to control the VCR, press the VCR button to turn on the VCR.

- Press the SETTINGS button. The Quick Settings menu displays. The figure to the right shows the SETTINGS button.
- Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the Record This Channel option.
- Press the left arrow button to change the setting from NO to YES. The Recording Alert message appears.
- To cancel the recording, press the C button .
- To start recording immediately, press the A button. You return to the channel and the VCR starts recording. This disables all remote control buttons except the EXIT button.
- To stop recording at any time, press the EXIT button.
Selecting a future program to record from the program guide
To select a future program to record from the program guide
- Press the GUIDE button. The program guide displays.
- Press the arrow buttons to highlight the future program you want to record.
- Press the SELECT button. A message appears informing you that you are attempting to select a future program.
- Press the A button to set a VCR timer to record this program. If the program guide is arranged by time, it now displays the program title in a red box, indicating a VCR timer is set. The record symbol appears in the program description.
